In the 12 complete months from Sep 2025 – Aug 2026, the NYC Department of Buildings recorded 468 construction-related incidents across the five boroughs: 353 workers injured (unchanged from the prior 12 months) and 6 killed (down 40% from 10 in the prior 12 months). Manhattan and Brooklyn account for most incidents; “worker fell” is the category that injures the most people.

- “Injured” and “killed” sum DOB’s per-incident injury and fatality counts. “Incidents” counts every record, including those with no injury.
- The 12-month window uses complete months only. Totals shift slightly as DOB back-fills late reports.
